Studio 3 (TV series)

''Studio 3'' is a television 'wrapper' program which was launched with the arrival of the new Australian children's channel ABC3 in 2009, hence the title Studio 3. The show is hosted by Kayne Tremills, Amberley Lobo, James Elmer, who joined the cast in April 2011, as well as Alfie Gledhill and Olivia "Liv" Phyland who joined the cast in December 2011. The original two hosts also presented ''Countdown To 3''. Alfie left Studio 3 in September. Egyptian Comedian Khaled Khalafalla (referred to as Khaled K) joined the hosts in late 2012 filling in for Alfie, but later left around March 2013 due to feeling his comedic nature was too restricted on a children's show.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Mulgrave comedian Khaled Khalafalla goes from kids' show host to stand-up at Melbourne International Comedy Festival )〕Following instigation of new hosts Liv and Alfie in early 2012, Kayne is often absent from the show for month-long periods, usually to film new separate TV shows.
Tim Matthews, Grace Koh and Ivy Latimer joined the team in June 2014 after winning The 3 Factor competition and host Studio 3 alongside James and Liv.

The show airs seven days each week from 6:30-8am Weekdays and on the weekend, with moments cut from their daily shows placed as fillers titled 'Studio 3 Gold'. Numerous segments are shown throughout the intersecting shows, such as interviews with celebrities, musical performances segments entitled 'Music on 3', parody competitions such as 'So You Think You Can Do Nothing' which revolves around the hosts irritating a guest while they try to remain motionless. Raps which revolve around themes sent in via the ABC3 official website.
A daily episodic comedy entitled 'Bitcom', which features Kayne, Ambo and the studio 3 janitor (played by Dave Cartel the Director and Writer),〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Dave Cartel )〕 solving problems, the miniseries is partially filmed using webcams which provide the characters thoughts, similar to the mocumentary stylings of The Office and Summer Heights High. A Bitcom Special aired in 2011 titled 'Bitcom and the Oblivion Ray' which featured every host on ABC3 at the time; the plot centred on the hosts discovering a parallel universe and a race against invaders from the universe for the legendary Oblivion Ray which could erase people's memories.
The Bitcom finale was shown at the start of 2012 and a new series began titled 'Airwaves' which starred the Studio 3 hosts including new hosts Alfie Gledhill and Olivia 'Liv' Phyland.
In addition to the miniseries the hosts also starred in various sketches (often parodying or inspired by various TV shows on ABC3), the major ones including; 3 Now (a news satire segment), Baby Baby Baby Oh (Parody of Big Babies), MI-3 (parody of MI-High) and various others.
In March 2013 the Janitor (Dave Cartel) and Bubbles the goldfish (also voiced by Dave Cartel) supposedly left Studio3 to go to Venezuela, with Bubbles being replaced with a new goldfish called Alexis. In reality Cartel went on to other projects including directing the new season of You're Skitting Me.
A news correspondent, Ben Crawley (also the host of ''What do you know?''), occasionally did reports for the series.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Studio 3 official site )
